This grant will fund one of the new Republic Branch Library’s business center conference rooms. The business center will include additional meeting rooms and a 150-seat auditorium. The library will also have a dedicated teen section and upgraded space for children, along with an interactive outdoor space for its younger patrons–and a nature trail.

The gift was announced recently at the library in Republic. Penny Lacy, sales manager, EVP for Arvest Bank – Springfield Region; Andrea Sitzes, commercial lender and Missouri Economic Development Council president, Mindy Thompson, branch administrator, VP, and Chandler Johnston, community marketing manager, VP presented the check to Springfield-Greene County Library District Director of Institutional Advancement Bridget Dierks, Republic Branch Library, Branch Manager Tysha Shay and Planning and Development Librarian Katie Hopkins.

“We are incredibly thankful for the Arvest Foundation’s support,” Shay said. “Their generosity ensures the Republic Branch Library can expand its resources to meet the needs of the Republic

community.”

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to the Springfield-Greene County Library Foundation,” Lacy said. “Libraries provide many essential community resources, and we are proud to invest in the new Republic library facility as part of our larger commitment to this community.”
