Springfield-Greene County Library District Announces Two New Leaders

The Springfield-Greene County Library District is excited to announce two recent leadership additions. John Bledsoe and Jeannine Birkenfeld have recently begun their new positions.
John Bledsoe recently joined the Library’s Leadership team as the Director of Buildings and Grounds. John will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the maintenance, operations and management of the organization’s physical facilities and outdoor spaces. John joins the District with 35 years of construction experience, most recently with Branco Enterprises, Inc.
Jeannine Birkenfeld will serve as the new Outreach Manager. In this role, Jeannine will develop and execute outreach programs, engage with community leaders and manage initiatives that enhance the Library’s visibility and impact. Jeannine has over 20 years of experience with the Library District. Many will know her from her role as Youth Services Department Manager at Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library. Jeannine received her Master’s in Library Science from Texas Woman’s University.
Executive Director Ed Walton said, “John and Jeannine bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their positions. They will provide strong leadership and innovative ideas to the library district, and we look forward to working alongside them as we serve the community.”
