New Board Members Bring Expertise to the Library Foundation

Springfield, MO - The Springfield-Greene County Library Foundation recently elected four new members to its Board of Directors. Leia Huffman, Emily Kembell, Clif Smart and Stephanie Stenger will each serve a three-year term. 

 

Bridget Dierks, Executive Director of the Library Foundation, said the new board members will bring a fresh perspective and a depth of experience to fundraising efforts benefiting the Library District. 

 

“We are honored to partner with community leaders like Leia, Emily, Clif and Stephanie to ensure that much-needed programs and capital projects at the Library are well supported by our community. With their exceptional leadership, the Library Foundation is poised for growth.” 

 

Leia Huffman, CFP®, CTFA, is a Director with Forvis Mazars Private Client, where she has worked since 2013. Emily Kembell, J.D., is a partner with Kembell Woods & Martinsen, where she specializes in estate planning, trust and probate administration, tax planning, business succession and planning and guardianships. Clif Smart, J.D.,  most recently retired as the 11th President of Missouri State University. Stephanie Stenger, J.D., is currently the CEO of Springfield Land, overseeing the company’s legal and financial operations.

 

The Library Foundation is currently fundraising for capital projects at the Hatch Auditorium at the Library Center and a new branch in Republic. Additionally, information on various innovative programs at all 10 branches can be found at foundation.thelibrary.org
