Draw a creative picture of a dinosaur and name it!
Read a book about dinosaurs or archeology.
Check out an Adventure Backpack and explore the outdoors with your family.
Use Your Next Read on the library website to get some personalized book suggestions from your librarians.
Check out an audiobook or use one of the library apps (Hoopla or Libby) to read or listen to a book.
Wrap a mummy. Take a doll or paper cutout and wrap it in paper/yarn/tape.
Learn about Ancient Egypt using Culturegrams.
Build a pyramid out of blocks or Lego.
Trace your hand and create a handprint dinosaur.
Take a walk in nature and look for fossils found in Missouri.
Make a fossil using play dough and different objects.
Design a treasure map! Hide a few toys in your house or backyard, draw your map and see if your friends can find your hidden treasures!
Create a prehistoric cave drawing using chalk or pencils.
Make prehistoric rock art by painting simple shapes on a rock.
Create your own pottery out of mud! Leave your sculptures in the sun for a long time to dry.
Find a rock and imagine using it to make a tool. What kind of tool would it make? Draw a diagram or picture of how you would make it.
Attend a Fantastic Friday event and learn something new about your community.
After reading a chapter book, draw a picture of how you think the main character looks.
Ask a friend to take a creative photo of you reading a book. Have your grown-up send it in to imagine@thelibrary.org.
