Is your child learning to read? The library has resources for parents to use to help their little readers practice their newly acquired skills.
First early reader book series are available that work well with children who are just learning to read. These series include first sight words, rhyming words, large print and pictures on every page to support the text. The amount of text varies with each series and title. You'll find these series in the Early Reader section of the children’s department at each library branch. If titles are not available at your home branch, you can make a request with a librarian or online through COOLcat.
