Though some situations may require altered hours of operation or complete closure of one or more Springfield-Greene County Library branches, all reasonable attempts will be made to keep libraries open during weather-related or unplanned events.

Library facilities including drive-up service will not open until 10 a.m. if the corresponding public school district in your community delays the start of the school day or closes due to inclement weather.

Early closings as well as all-day closings of individual branches or the entire Springfield-Greene County Library District will be announced to the public via electronic resources, signage, the media and the Library's weather hotline, (417) 616-0620.

These branch libraries will follow the 10 a.m. late opening if these school districts close due to bad weather:

Bookmobile hours, routes and services will be determined on a situation-by-situation basis.

Patrons will be informed of changes via electronic resources, signage and the media.
