Summer Explorations
Summertime brings many new experiences. Whether your child is interested in bugs, animals or plants, there are new things to see and learn about. Take time to learn more about the interesting bug you found or the birds in the backyard by going to the Library and finding some books and resources. The librarians will be happy to help you and you'll be excited to see your child's knowledge grow!
SING
The Beehive
Here is the Beehive, where are the bees? [make a fist with one hand]
Hidden away where nobody sees. [cover fist with other hand]
Watch and you'll see them come out of the hive,
1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5, they're alive! [count out five fingers]
Bzzzzz!! [give a gentle tickle]
JOIN US AT THE LIBRARY
Our interactive storytimes introduce young children to books, reading and language with stories, songs and activities. Parents learn fun ways to build the early literacy skills their children need to learn to read.
