Sawgrass SG1000 Sublimation Printer

Sublimation printing uses heat to transfer dye onto polyester fabric, ceramic, and other specially coated materials. When heated, the dye becomes a gas and bonds with the material, creating vibrant, long-lasting designs that will not peel, crack, or fade.

This process is ideal for making custom mugs, tumblers, mousepads, apparel, and personalized gifts.

Materials:

• Makers must bring their own sublimation-ready items (“blanks”)

• Blanks are available online (Amazon) and at local craft stores such as Michaels and Hobby Lobby

• We recommend bringing extra materials for testing or in case of mistakes

Print Size:

• Prints up to 11" × 17"

Fabric Guidelines:

• Best results are achieved with white polyester fabric

• Higher polyester content produces better results

• Minimum recommended polyester content: 50%

• Light-colored fabrics may be used, but sublimation ink is transparent, so the fabric color will affect the final image
